In rare moments of spare time I volunteer to photograph rabbits like Nelson here for a local rescue. Clear, well-lit photos that reveal the animal's personality are a great boon helping them to find homes.
There is a learning curve to photographing animals. Rabbits are a focusing challenge because they are nearly constantly in motion. To keep the photo clear I used a shutter speed of about 125, and a shallow depth of field. This makes the rabbits look soft and dreamy.
Nelson got adopted about a week after his photos went up :)
