This photograph was taken at Coral Castle in Homestead, Miami. The sun was directly overhead, washing out nearly every crevice of the limestone enigma. One of the only shady spots was a small cooking area draped in bougainvillea. The sunlight that bounced off the walls of the cooker was bright enough to softly illuminate the pink flowers and frame of green leaves, while nearly blowing out the background details.
This was taken at f/5 with an exposure time of 1/125. I used a Canon 50mm lens with a neutral density filter.
